LPRU, directed by Professor Terrence Wiley and Dr. Wayne Wright, promotes research and policy analysis on the challenges and opportunities posed by national and global multilingualism.

LPRU priorities include:
  1. Interdisciplinary studies to promote equitable language policies in education and society;
  2. Demographic studies with policy implications for language rights and preservation;
  3. Historical and contemporary studies on language contact, conflict, and minority language accommodation and promotion; and
  4. Media, legal and legislative analyses to inform public discourse and policy making in state, national, and international contexts.

The LPRU Staff can be reached by email at LPRUlist@asu.edu.

LPRU is affiliated with the Consortium for Language Policy and Planning at the University of Pennsylvania, and with national and international scholars from universities in the U.S. and around the world.
